EPL: Mikel Arteta single out four Arsenal players to replace Aubameyang

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has selected  four players of his squad to be  under consideration as a   replace for  Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the Gunners captain.

Aubameyang was on Tuesday stripped of the captaincy armband due to a ‘disciplinary breach.’

The Gabonese international missed Saturday’s 3-0 victory against Southampton after failing to return on time from an authorized trip abroad earlier in the week.

According to talkSPORT, the four names currently in the frame under consideration by Arteta to become Arsenal’s new captain are Alexandre Lacazette, Kieran Tierney, Aaron Ramsdale and Xhaka.

Arsenal are currently in the 6th position on the Premier League table with 26 points from 16 games.

Arteta’s side will face West Ham United in their next Premier League tie on Wednesday night at Emirates.
