Atletico Madrid striker, Luis Suarez, scored one and set up the other as they beat Barcelona 2-0 on Saturday night.
The result ended Barcelona’s unbeaten start to this LaLiga season.
Suarez did not only heap more misery on his former club, he also helped Atletico move joint top of LaLiga on points.
Atleti took the lead in the 23rd minute, when Suarez released Thomas Lemar in behind for the French forward to finish past Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Suarez missed a great chance to make it two soon, but made amends by scoring just before half time.
Diego Simeone’s men now have 17 points and are only behind rivals, Real Madrid – who play Espanyol on Sunday – on goal difference.
Barca have dropped to ninth place with 12 points.
