Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has reacted to his side’s Premier League 7-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
Tuchel also commented on Mason Mount’s hat-trick and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s display for Chelsea against Norwich.
Chelsea defeated Norwich City at Stamford Bridge, thanks to a hat-trick from Mount and a strike each from Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Max Aaron (own goal) to give the Blues all three points against the visitors.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel said at his post-match press conference,
“He (Hudson-Odoi) had a good game against Malmo, another good game today. There are still things to improve and work on, but it’s on him. It’s like I said before the game, he has to show he has to produce performances like this consistently and it’s time to show. Next performance is on Tuesday.”
“We had a good performance, we were sharp and put in a lot of effort. The result was that we had high pressing, many ball wins, created lots of chances and we were very precise today.
“To score seven you maybe need a bit of luck but it was a good effort.
“That will not stop, this was just one game. We are up for a challenge again on Tuesday and they will have to prove it again. All the credit but it is only one game.
“It’s good [Mount’s hat-trick]. No matter how many good opportunities you have and how good your coach says you are, you need your offensive players to score goals. He has waited too long.
“Today he looked fresh again. We need to be careful with players like him, Jorgi and Romelu who have important roles with their national teams.”
