Manchester United is in with a renewed bid for Jadon Sancho worth £72.6million.

The Red Devils have made the Borussia Dortmund winger their top transfer target this summer after failing to land him last year.

We reported on Sunday that the German club have set the Red Devils a ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ asking price of £77million (approximately 90m euros) plus add-ons.

Sancho is understood to have agreed personal terms with Man United but the Premier League giants are yet to agree with his club’s demands.

The BBC reports that club’s latest offer is £72.6million, just short of the valuation.

While the report adds that it is unlikely to be accepted, there is growing belief that it will be completed this summer.

United tried to sign Sancho last summer but were unwilling to pay Dortmund’s asking price, which was in excess of £100m.

The winger is currently with England at Euro 2020, but has played just six minutes of football so far.

Journalist Mark Langdon told talkSPORT: “They’ve got the money to be able to make that signing. Right wing is an area they are looking to improve.

Sancho helped Borussia Dortmund finish third and lift the Pokal

“The one drawback is he tends to be at his best when he has a connection with a full back and Wan-Bissaka isn’t the best at attacking.

“They have been linked with Trippier as well to give them impetus at the back. Signing Sancho would be worth paying (the fee).

“He fills an area where they need a strong player.”
