In his glittering Stamford Bridge playing career, Cech won every major club honour possible. He surpassed Peter Bonetti’s Chelsea clean-sheet record and became its highest overseas appearance maker.

In his first season, 2004/05, Cech registered a record 24 Premier League clean sheets as the club romped to the title conceding just 15 goals along the way. He was equally impressive the following year as Chelsea maintained its status as the country’s best team with the meanest defence.
