Paul Pogba Hails Mourinho after winning Player of the Month

Paul Pogba was named the Manchester United’s Player of the Month award for April after a string of good performances for the Premier League second-placed club.

The club record signing beat off competition from his team-mates Ander Herrera and Alexis Sanchez to land the award for the second time this season, after scooping the accolade in August.

It comes after a terrific month for Pogba which saw him score three goals and provide two assists as United beat both Manchester City and Arsenal.

After receiving the award, the French midfielder took the opportunity to thank manager Jose Mourinho for his unwavering belief.

It’s good that the manager believes in you, and the players. I would like to thank everybody that voted for me,” Pogba told ‘Premier League Productions’.

The most important thing for me now is I would like to win the FA Cup. That would be great for everyone“.

Pogba, 25, has seen his fortunes at Old Trafford improve over the past month after a mid-season dip in form that cost him his place in the starting XI.

The former Juventus midfielder will be a key player for France at this summer’s World Cupin Russia.
