Angel Di Maria Set To Leave PSG & Barcelona Is Interested

Angel Di Maria has opened the door to a potential move away from PSG with Barcelona having been interested in the Argentinian.

Di Maria has featured regularly for PSG across all competitions this season and has scored 11 Ligue 1 goals.

Barcelona have been linked with the former Manchester United attacker in the past and may be interested should Di Maria become available this summer.

The Argentinian believes PSG may look to ship some players out as they try to attract new stars to the French capital.

And Di Maria knows he may be one that has to say his goodbyes.

“Football is a strange game,” Di Maria told France Football.

“I am happy here, but the club needs to sign new players and to do this, others must be sold. It is not my decision. It is also the club’s. For the moment, I am calm.

“We must simply continue to work hard; the club and the supporters need to stay patient.

“The most important thing is to continue to sign great players who want to win things or have already won things and are experienced – the rest will come on its own.”

Di Maria and PSG can add the Coupe de France to the Ligue 1 and Coupe de la Ligue titles if they beat semi-professional club Les Herbiers in the final on Tuesday.

Though it’s European success that they desperately crave.

The dominant side in France were knocked out at the last-16 stage of this season’s Champions League by Finalists Real Madrid.

But Di Maria believes PSG will keep growing following the arrival of Neymar last summer.

“Neymar has enabled Le Championnat tosuddenly grow, not only in a footballing sense but also in terms of exposure and marketing,” Di Maria said.
