AC Milan attacker, Andre Silva has lauded the ability of his Portugal team-mate to prove critics wrong throughout his career.
Ronaldo is currently serving a domestic suspension for pushing referee Ricardo Burgos, after being sent off during Real Madrid’s first leg encounter against Barcelona in the Supercopa de Espana.
Silva said, “He manages to shut many mouths that speak badly of him.”
The 21-year-old added, “We all have the certainty that he will do a good job.
“Football is not a bed of roses. There are many injustices.”
Silva also said, “Ronaldo is fast, skill-full and direct, he scored 25 goals and created 30 chances last season en route to helping Real to win the La Liga title.”
Ronaldo, the current Ballon d’Or holder, was also recently named as the best player in last season’s Champions League.
Silva is included in the Portugal squad for the World Cup qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Hungary and will be determined to make a major impact.
