At least no fewer than 50 people suspected to be kidnappers and other categories of criminals have been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command.
The arrests, which were made after raids on several camps allegedly operated by hoodlums in Maraba Udege Development Council, Nasarawa Toto, and Kokona local government areas of the state, were led by a team of Special Anti-Robbery Squad officers drafted from the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The action followed a recent kidnap of a top police officer, who was said to be travelling from Benue to Abuja when he was attacked at Kokona LGA in Nasarawa.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Abubakar Sadiq-Bello, who confirmed that officers had been deployed in the area, said they were on top of the situation and would ensure that criminals face the consequences of their actions.
