Grammys 2017: Beyoncé Channels Yoruba Goddess Oshun During Performance

Beyoncé was practically on the lips of everyone at the Grammy Award 2017 which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

During her performance at the 2017 Grammys, Beyoncé channeled Youruba goddess, Yeye Oshun .

The goddess represents, fertility, motherhood, and the passing of the generations.

This isn’t the first time the expectant mother paid homage to the practice.

Her record breaking maternity shoot also contained photos of her paying tribute to the goddess of water, fertility and love.

In her award winning visual album Lemonade, most notably seen in “Hold Up”, Beyoncé channelled the goddess who remains revered in Osun state, Nigeria.
