Mfon Udoh has revealed that he has not been informed that he will replace Chinedu Udoji as Enyimba’s captain when the Nigeria Professional Football League kicks off next year.
The NPFL all-time goal scorer said that he was surprised when he saw the information in the news, and added that he cannot comment until it has been confirmed.
“I have not been officially informed about that, I only saw that information in the news so until they do, I can’t say anything for now,” Udoh said.
“Soldiers come and soldiers go but the barracks remain, we can’t stop players from moving to another club, but we will ensure we do our best for the team next season.”
The 24-year-old forward, who won the Caf Champions League highest goal scorer award last season with nine goals, disclosed that he will consider a move to play abroad if the opportunity presents itself.
“Impossibility is nothing, it is very possible and it is going to be possible.”
