They say death and life are in the power of the tongue and this seemed to be precisely the case for Taofeek Sodiq, who was almost lynched for allegedly killing a 22-year-old fashion designer after placing a ‘curse’ on him.

According to PUNCH, some community youths in Alagbado had attacked Taofeek over the weekend and accused him of murder after the fashion designer, Lukmon Shotunde, suddenly slumped and died.

Prior to his death, Shotunde had gotten into a fight with Taofeek over N500 that had been stolen from his son by an unidentified person at Shotunde’s shop. The suspect (Taofeek) reportedly sent his son on an errand with N500, when a man in front of Shotunde’s shop called the boy and asked him to bring the N500 that he would double it for him. The boy gave him the money only for the man to flee with it.
