his million dollar deal with top record company,
Sony BMG, many people celebrated the great
news with him. But controversy started when
the ‘Aye’ singer said he was the ‘first African
artiste to be signed by the company.

D’banj is signed to Sony Music Africa, a quick
search online revealed other African acts who
had clinched the same deal. Some of the
African stars signed to Sony BMG include South
Africa’s Nathan Ro of Lonehill Estate musical group who won Project Fame in South Africa,
