I’ve been trying to get hold of the source for Simple Server Windows executable.
Not much luck though… I usually like working with the code and not the tweaks but my frequent use of Kali Linux nagged at me until I worked this one out.

First, you’ll have to turn on your USB tethering (I hate WiFi Hotspot, you can work with that though)
When the network icon is live, go to network settings and copy the default route/DNS address.
Proxify your browsers or VPN or like me, the gnome shell using the proxy extension.
It won’t work unless you start the server on your droid, say SAS.
Crazy right? Uplink is stable.
You can ping google dot com via droid terminal to keep the connection alive and emulate a live socket.

With this, I got connected to the Tor network and VPN wasn’t a hassle either.

The beauty of this revelation is that it’s not just for SAS alone.
You can do a lot more.

Have a wonderful time trying this out on your distros..
