Official: Bayern Munich sign Douglas Costa from Shakhtar Donetsk for £21.3m

  • The 24-year-old has signed a five-year
    contract with Pep Guardiola’s side and will
    wear the number 11 jersey.

    Bayern Munich have
    completed the signing of
    Shakhtar Donetsk attacker
    Douglas Costa for €30
    million (£21.3m).

    The 24-year-old has signed a
    contract that will run until
    2020 with the Bundesliga champions and has been
    handed the number 11 jersey.

    DONE DEAL: Brazilian @douglascosta has signed
    a contract at #FCBayern until 2020! He will wear
    no.11 and train for the first time on 11/7.

    Costa, who has been capped nine times by Brazil, is
    an additional wide option for Pep Guardiola after
    Bayern were hampered by injuries to Arjen Robben
    and Franck Ribery last season.
