Bayern Munich have
completed the signing of
Shakhtar Donetsk attacker
Douglas Costa for €30
million (£21.3m).
The 24-year-old has signed a

2020 with the Bundesliga champions and has been
handed the number 11 jersey.
DONE DEAL: Brazilian @douglascosta has signed
a contract at #FCBayern until 2020! He will wear
no.11 and train for the first time on 11/7.
Costa, who has been capped nine times by Brazil, is
an additional wide option for Pep Guardiola after
Bayern were hampered by injuries to Arjen Robben
and Franck Ribery last season.
“For me, today a dream came true. I am proud to
play for Bayern, a club where many famous Brazilians
have played before,” said Costa.
“I am looking forward to being a part of a great team
and I will do everything to meet the expectations.”
#Shakhtar and @FCBayernEN have reached
agreement for transfer of @douglascosta to
German club.
Bayern sporting director Matthias Sammer said:
“Douglas Costa will be an addition for our team. He
has got exceptional technical skills, a strong left foot,
he’s very agile and extremely fast.
“Douglas Costa has decided to take the next step in
his career after having played in Brazil and Ukraine.
We will support him in every aspect.”
